PROCONSI

In collaboration with ICON MULTIMEDIA from Palencia, PROCONSI has developed SICOMBUS, an innovative MULTIMEDIA INFORMATION and COMMUNICATION SYSTEM for BUSES, which aims to inform and entertain passengers during city bus journeys. 

The social objective is to encourage universal use of public transport, helping passengers to orientate themselves and building confidence in the public system.  It is a cutting edge system, not only in contents management but also in advertising, designed and implemented by Spanish companies with entirely national software. 

With SICOMBUS a channel of multimedia information and communication has been created for buses (news, sport, weather, events…) combined with advertisements.  It is different from other systems because advertising information is geo-referenced, without bombarding passengers with repeated information. 

Moreover, it provides information in several languages in order to promote social integration and to enable people with audio and visual disabilities to access the information more easily. It is the first system to comply with the Royal Decree that regulates the basic conditions of accessibility and non-discrimination regarding access and use of modes of transport for disabled people.
